Silver Linings

Most people roll into January excited to tackle the resolutions they have set for themselves for the coming year. In recent years I have used another strategy, trying to truly stay in the moment and savor the whirlwind of the holiday season. Then when the dust settles, I take a deep breath with the New Year. I usually set aside a few days to do some soul searching, to spend time reflecting on the past year, and then I set some goals for growth in the coming year. This year it took a little longer-- a lot happened for all of us in 2020. As we move forward in 2021 I have spent not just a few days but the entire month of January reflecting on the silver linings that come shining through as I processed and cleared out the clutter of 2020.

Time was the biggest blessing of 2020; time with family, time to celebrate, time to reflect . . . time to consider what was working in my life and what was not working in my life. It was a time to plant the seeds of both old and new ideas, time to start a new adventure, to turn a page and write a new chapter in the story.

As those who follow us know, Megan and I have always dreamed of building a company together. We have dabbled; flea market sales, restoring and restyling furniture and spaces, and along the way enjoyed more laughs and adventures than most mother/daughter teams could imagine. But we’ve always dreamed of something bigger and as it turns out, 2020 was the year that sprouted that little seed of a dream into reality.

As we move into 2021 we are excited to share our new adventure with all of you with the official launch of Sylvie + Sage. At Sylvie and Sage we offer the resources you need to help you rethink your space, to help you make your house a beautiful home that reflects you as an individual. A home that supports your busy lifestyle, your goals and your dreams as you venture out into the world, and a home that makes you smile and welcomes you home when you walk back through the door at the end of your busy day.

Whether you need ideas or have ideas that need a jump start, whether you want to restyle the home you have or look for a new home, whether you want to redesign a closet, a room or two or a single piece of furniture, or if you simply want to reorganize to make your home work smarter, we are here to support you.

Let’s rethink you space!
